After a long time without label news, some FIRM artists decided to come up with the release of a real cooperation work called Firm 2010 Allstars witch are Schaeben & Voss, Coma and Schad Privat.

The first track “Body Hotel” is a song that Schad Privat and Thomas Schaeben released 10 years ago on the first label compilation, FIRM 02. They reworked it 2004 and now COMA, who came to hear and love it, did a remix of that with a fat linn drum and some new flashing ingredients. The second one,“Gonna Miss Me” is a brand new Schaeben & Voss track, rough and splendid as ever, lyrics by Turntable Orchestras. “In Your Arms”the last piece is a hopeful cooperation of COMA with Heiko Voss, who contributed his guitar and gently singing for a beautyful track like this is.

Después de largo tiempo sin noticias del sello, ciertos artistas de FIRM han decidido volver a la carga con este nuevo trabajo cooperativo titulado Firm 2010 Allstars. La súper formación está formada por los geniales y consagrados Schaeben & Voss y los no menos geniales y emergentes Coma. Ambos duos acopañados a su vez por la sugerente voz de Schad Privat.

La primera pista “Body Hotel” es un tema que Schad Privat y Thomas Schaeben publicaron 10 años atras en la primera compilación del sello, FIRM 02. Ellos la remasterizaron en 2004 y ahora COMA, quienes la escucharon recientemente y se enamoraron, han hecho un remix con un hilo de bajo pesado y algunos ingredientes nuevos realmente brillantes. La segunda pista, “Gonna Miss Me” es un track totalmente nuevo de Schaeben & Voss, duro y espléndido como siempre con letras de Turntable Orchestras. “In Your Arms” la última pieza ,es una esperanzadora cooperacion entre COMA y Heiko Voss quien aporta su guitarra y agradable voz a esta maravillosa pista.

Is time for Aromatics. This duo, borns from the collaboration between two Italian artists, Gianmarco Ghiandoni (aka Ghianda) and Marco Negozio (aka Neg), presents the release whit a special remix by Harald Björk (Traum Schallplatten – Apparillo Music – Kranglan Broadcast).

Their style, based on cutting-edge electronic sounds, very refined and bodied percussions accompanied by bouncing grooves, gives life to the main track of this release.

In chemistry, a racemic mixture, or racemate, is one that has equal amounts of left- and right- handed enantiomers of a chiral molecule.

Aromatics propose “Today” as the main track of Racemate. It’s a very exciting track, joyful and finely crafted. The main melody can immediately capture the listener, who is forced to follow its evolution throughout the song full of details and processes that make it unique in every loop. A track bursting with energy!

The talented Swedish Harald Björk gives us a less loud and perhaps more intellectual version of Today. The track evolves with a well-structured growth that culminates in a final where a harmonious blend of sounds goes directly to the heart of the listener.

”Harald was the first international artist which worked to something with us. He’s a truly exceptional and available person, as well as an extraordinary artist!”

The third track is a production by Neg: “Dumpness”, another de monstration of his dynamism and his influences by his favourite artists like “the old” Stephan Bodzin, Gui Boratto and Moonbeam. This track is the more dancefloor-oriented of the ep. Aggressive and driving pace, lashes of electronic synth and powerful bass makes Dumpness a track engaging but not obvious and to listen from start to finish to get a satisfying journey into the mind of Neg.

Ghianda reinterprets Dumpelle (Dumpness’ younger sister) with a live mix where is king a massive bass line that puts the track on a road well-defined and full of glitches, colors and emotions. Is evident in this new production a greater tendency to a more analog form of electronic but always treated in details, with the intention of increasingly removed by a classic way to seeing (and to compose) the electronic music.

“I think there’s been a real evolution in this period in our family. “Today” was a project we were working from long time and I think in the future with our next releases those who follow us will notice significant changes in our musical trends. But I won’t scare you!”

So, as the biography says: their ambition and their talents blend with the love for music production: a very promising duo for themselves and for the Italian electronic music.

Craig Morrison & Graeme Reedie aka Silicone Soul return with another selection of superb remixes of tracks from their 2009 self-titled album ‘Silicone Soul’. The pair have looked to artists and producers that have touched and impressed them with their work, and the previous two remix EP’s have seen the likes of Masomenos, Ripperton, Jet Project, Marc Poppcke, Jairo Catelo, Bearweasel and Master-H all lend their skills to rework tracks from the highly acclaimed long player.

First up on this latest selection and getting to grips with ‘Dogs of Les Ilhes’ are the genial Hamburg duo Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Taking the thoughtful original KT, whilst giving us a dreamy and dramatic opening, their mix broadens into a deep driver that works brilliantly, matching its twisted bassline to its snarling synths.

Madrid based Prompt works his magic on ‘David Vincent’s Blues’. A steady, groovesome opening kicks up a gear as the originals jazzy elements begin to drop. Flute, soft keys and cymbal crashes pave the way for the trippy guitar line in the break. Extra funk is injected for the final third to round out a fantastic rework.

From Spain to France now as Nhar remixes ‘Midnite Man’, creating a beautifully warm and deep yet equally dramatic version. Swirling sounds and lush melodies are enhanced by the glowing buzz of the electro-tinged bassline.

Closing this EP are the German duo Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch aka Klartraum, who deliver a second revision of ‘David Vincent’s Blues’. Their trademark fluid, deep and dubby techno is at work here, giving the original a more sinister edge.

As a DJ aswell in his live acts, french Nhar certainly knows how to tweak the controls. He’s transmitting his message on every channel, sporting his personal recipe for dancefloor mayhem, consisting of driving beats, melancholic euphoria and some other ingredients meant to stay a secret. All that love for the well done things has to be rewarded, so Kompakt’s Jörg Burger, a.k.a. The Modernist throws in one of his rare remixes for the B Side of the EP Close Up, delivering that bonus punch and enhancing the original’s charm with the razor-sharp musical scale he’s become known for. That EP is an instant succes for WIR!

Galaktika comes with a new image and new names.We will like to present a new concept of series called Action Series. This will be a series of releases wich will have two original versions of two diferent producers. Mainly will be musically different but coherent.

In this first edition we have the spanish-cuban Maetrik, well known for his releases in Treibstoff, Mothership and Audiomatique. In Botton heavy Maetrik goes for his dark , techy and twisted sound, very characteristic in his productions. A tune to be played at pick hour an top year for this heavyweight producer.

Garnica returns from London with new energies to the Catalan capital and as always with a very special sound. In We Want a Girl Garnica express saved emotions, he stops the pich for 100 bpm and he takes us to a trip of melancolie and full of deep house. A perfect track to close down a big floor.

Galaktika is preparing a summer full of Heavy weight releases, with lots of vinil and cds and getting older each month.

Galaktika viene con nueva imagen y nuevos nombres. Les presentamos un conjunto de series que por nombre llevaran Action Series. Una serie de lanzamientos que tendrán como concepto dos cortes originales de dos artistas diferentes, que tendrá como Hilo musical dos tonalidades diferentes pero coherentes.

En esta primera edición tenemos el debut del cubano-español Maetrik, ya conocido por sus temas en Treibstoff, Mothership y Audiomatique. En Bottom Heavy, Maetrik apuesta por su sonido oscuro, techno y retorcido, muy característico en sus producciones. Para hora y pico!

Garnica regresa de Londres con nuevas energías a la capital catalana, como siempre con un sonido muy especial. En We Want a Girl Garnica expresa emociones guardadas, frena el pich a 110 y nos lleva por un viaje de melancolía y lleno deep house. Una canción ideal para sesiones de primera hora.

Galaktika prepara un verano cargado de lanzamientos pesados, con muchos vinilos y cds y poco a poco se va haciendo mayor.

Wisdom, the last work released by Nhar comes this time published on Kina Music, making his debut as producer on this label after a remix for Cosmic Cowboys released in it at the beginnings of 2009. In that third release in Kina Stories series, Wisdom comes accompanied by My Fair Lady another great tech-house cut from Van Hai, another debutant on the label who as Nhar did also a remix before. It’s only a track for now, but what a track!

Instead of abstract words trying to describe the sound of the piece, there’s a video this time, enjoy it!
